The Dutch, Amsterdam-based fintech company FINOM was founded as a start-up in 2019. It offers business accounts for the self-employed and companies. Depending on the shape and size of their company, customers can choose between four different business account models, with the “Solo” option, for example, designed for solo self-employed people and free of charge. The models differ in the number of possible accounts, the Visa cards provided and the SEPA transfers allowed. Each account can be tested free of charge in a trial month. Two days after registering, users receive a German IBAN and an accounting software integration. The latter supports tasks such as the storage and digitisation of receipts and other documents as well as the creation of invoices. The website’s help centre has articles with instructions on how to use the platform. FINOM has raised more than €16 million in investor money since its inception, with more than 50% of the investment coming from Germany. The largest investors include the founders of Raisin, General Catalysts, Target Global and Avala Capital. Like other providers in the industry, the company cooperates with Solarisbank.
