We booked a Siam Park VIP house in Tenerife for the 31st August. A few days later I was requested to change my holiday by work and my daughter had become very unwell (due to life long epilepsy). I phoned Tui Musement as soon as we realised we had no alternative than to change our holiday, and asked if they could exchange the date for us (I understood we were outside the refund period, so knew this would be unlikely, unless they would be kind enough to make an exception). They refused to do anything and have not tried to help in any way! They will not let me speak to a Manager to discuss.
There is no availability for these VIP houses anywhere on line for the whole of August so they would be able to re-sell within minutes, I’m sure. I suggested they take a penalty fee from us and try to sell, if they could not exchange the date/activity for us.
The service has been appalling, with no effort to try to make this right, the stress has been immense (knowing we were going to lose £800 as a family), on top of coping with two disabled children. We have changed our holiday dates but can not afford to do this activity now we have lost all that money.
It’s so sad that this is allowed to happen, in a time when everyone is struggling (I made this payment via Paypal over a 3 month period, as couldn’t afford it in one go). It was supposed to be a Birthday surprise for my daughter, who has been through so much in recent months.
Shame on you Tui Musement. There are some companies that don’t deserve to be in business. YOU are one of them!
Please do not tell me it’s anything to do with a third party (who you won’t give me any details for). I bought the experience from you – YOU are responsible to make this right.
