However, the company’s history goes back a further 90 years, when T & G Allan, a stationer and bookseller, was founded in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The Allan family owned the company for 150 years until the McClymont family took over. Colin McClymont is currently in charge of the company with the help of his wife, Sally.
